Late last week EarthLink made available a beta version of Montage, a new, free email/RSS/address book suite for Windows XP and Vista. It's a desktop application that lets you handle multiple email accounts along with RSS feeds and podcasts, all with a unified interface and organization system.

How To Make The Smallest Portable Mac Ever

I've been looking for the smoothest possible way to work from two different Macs (one at home and one at work) with an absolute minimum of hassle and without resorting to all web applications. I stumbled upon a solution about two weeks ago, and it's been working out great.

SlingPlayer For The Mac

href="http://www.engadget.com/2006/10/31/slingplayer-for-mac-os-x-finally-released-in-public-beta/">released a Mac OS X version of their SlingPlayer software this week, albeit as a beta. This is the software piece that goes with the Slingbox hardware, that lets you view your television's live content stream from any laptop connected to the internet.

Try The EarthLink Shopping Widget For Mac Dashboard

Today, we've got a beta release of a new Mac Dashboard app called EarthLink Shopping Widget. It's a tool that allows you to search and comparison shop on eBay, Amazon.com, and Shopping.com all from the Dashboard instead of your web browser. If you flip the widget over (click the "i") and give it your zip code, it will also show you the shipping costs of eBay auction items when you roll over the price. We think it's pretty unique as far as Dashboard widgets go.
