The new security center looks like it's off to a good start!
As a non-Microsoft user (Apple Macintosh) one thing I notice that the MS users might not is that the "Threat Meter" seems to be reporting only on threats to MS Windows systems and associated applications. It is not that this is a bad thing, but it needs to be clarified. A reading of "Extreme" might be very valid, for example, for someone running MSIE on Windows, but at the same time someone running non-MS software might be experiencing only "Low" threat levels.
I guess what I'm saying is that the Threat Meter is painting with a too wide brush and implying that something that affects only MS Windows users is a threat to ALL computers, rather than just an annoyance to some.
(I realize it is a lot to ask, but even a separate meter for the non-MS Windows folks would be a very nice touch, so we can track OUR threat levels. A Security check app similar to the one you offer for MS Windows users would also be nice, especially since Apple refers its buyers to Earthlink for internet service...)
Thanks!
Tomas

Hi Tomas,
Thanks for your comments on the EarthLink Security Center. This is exactly the type of feedback that the team is looking for to make the content more clear or relevant for our readers. To your specific points, we will plan to update the description of the Threat Meter and the PC Security Assessment Wizard to make it more clear that these tools are primarily for PC users running Windows software. In the future, we may look to expand our research and tools to other platforms.
I appreciate you taking the time to check out the site and for sending me your thoughts.
Be secure!

I found the website to be very informative and functional. Its good to know just how secure or unsecure your PC is. I got an "A" grade on security so now I'll sleep well knowing that I am secure.
