- No fighting, no biting.
- Comments are for discussing the topic at hand or related topics. E-mail is for discussing new topics and anything else.
- Discussion is strongly encouraged. Please feel free to contribute, especially through public comments. This blog should get you thinking and get you talking. It is not a PR mouthpiece, or a home for press releases.
- Be thoughtful, respectful of others, and to the point. Be funny if you'd like. Read everything else that has been said before you contribute. I'll do the same.
- Hopefully this goes without saying -- no profanity for its own sake. The discussion topic may be R-rated but the language must be clean. Use your inside voice.
- This is not a complete free-for-all. There are some areas that are off-limits for discussion, but let me worry about that. Ultimately, this is EarthLink's blog, and I do work for them. That said, it's my job to be the bridge between you and them. There will be push-pull and that's healthy. I'll let you know if we're getting into murky waters. Don't be shy about asking good, penetrating questions, but don't be hurt if you touch on something that's considered off-limits to the public. For my part, I promise not to start any conversations I can't finish.
- Please don't advertise products, publish spam, or use the comments in any way other than for give-and-take on the subject at hand.
- No robots allowed. Only humans and gifted domestic animals may contribute. I'm now also requiring a valid e-mail address. In return, I promise not to use that address for any other purpose other than to get in touch if I have a question about your comment.
