By all accounts, Take Your Child To Work Day was a blast. We had several attendees in Atlanta, and Staff Engineer Josh Kleinpeter sent the following report about the blog-centric activity he led with the kids in Pasadena. Also check out the Flickr Album with photos from the day's events.

Josh writes:
"I was a bit worried when I drove in today and saw them in front of a firetruck. The firemen were showing off the
fire truck and letting the kids try on the fire gear. Blogging gets to follow that????
Teacher, how do I maximize my SEO?
In preparation, I created all of their accounts yesterday. This morning I put each computer on one of the kid's blogs. When they came into the room, I asked them to find their computers, which they enjoyed. They were also really good kids. I wasn't sure what to expect with 16 kids from 5-11. They all created their blogs, and some even uploaded pictures. Many of them wanted to play games once they created their first post (of course). To avoid mutiny, I let them :D.
"Don't forget to ping Technorati before snacktime. .."
A few of the kids really liked it though. Arvind's son wanted to write down the location of his blog so he could post more later. And one of the girls wrote several posts and didn't want to leave. I saw her later and she said blogging was cooler than a firetruck. "

I'm not sure all of the boys agreed with that statement, but I was pretty excited to one up the firemen :D
