The first presidential debate kicks off Wednesday, October 3rd at 9:00pm Eastern (6:00pm Pacific), and there is bound to be a lot of pre-debate coverage as well (should you want to tune into any of these sources early).
Watch Online:
- YouTube — Preshow streaming coverage starts at 4:00pm Eastern (1:00pm Pacific) on YouTube’s “election channel.” The Wall Street Journal, ABC News, and The New York Times will be contributing to content (as will a hand full of others). The debate itself will broadcast as a live feed.
- PopSugar Pre/Post-Debate Discussion — Since this first debate will deal with domestic policy, PopSugar editors are hosting pre-and-post show discussions on how the policies mentioned relate to women.
- Tumblr Live GIFs — GIFs ( three second looped animations) are everywhere online (usually of cats…), so why not make them political? Tumblr will be making GIFs during the debates with The Guardian providing the background information.
Track on Twitter:
- WSJ, ABC News, NBCPolitics, CNN, HuffingtonPost: Follow these major news providers as they live-tweet about the debate.
- #Debates: Make a feed of (what will likely be) the most-popular hashtag during the debate to see the reactions of other people like you.
